Therapy for South Asian Women in their 20s & 30s
A virtual and in-person therapy space for South Asian women across Ontario to feel seen & heard.
Hi, I’m Nikki and I’m so glad you’ve landed here.
Finding a therapist who truly understands your journey can be difficult. Through my own experiences I realized how hard it was to find a South Asian therapist who understood the tension between Eastern expectations and Western culture, while also creating a space that felt judgement-free.
This is why I started Mosaic Minds Therapy and Counselling.
I feel incredibly lucky to support South Asian women in a space that feels safe and relatable. It is a privilege to be the person that my clients share their full experiences with.

More About Me
It was this work experience combined with my own personal experience navigating the complexities of growing up in a South Asian household that ultimately inspired me to pursue a Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto and in-turn work more directly with supporting South Asian women through their mental health journey.
After graduating from York University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology), I went on to work at a local non-profit in Mississauga where I supported immigrant families and individuals.
My Education & Experience:
Life can get pretty hectic these days for my husband and I with regularly having to chase after our son and keep him out of trouble.
About Me Outside of Therapy:
In moments where I do get some downtime, some of the hobbies I enjoy pursuing are gardening, painting and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. I also love spending time outdoors, so regardless of the season, walks around the neighbourhood or the local trail are a regular routine in our household.
Steps in My Approach to Therapy
Honoring Your Journey
We begin with an intake session. It’s a dedicated session to share your story, your current challenges, and your hopes for the future. Together, we’ll reflect on who you are and where you want to go.
The Roadmap
Based on your intake, I create a plan on what therapeutic tools would best help you reach your goals. This plan will evolve alongside you as your needs and insights change.
Walking Alongside You
We work as a team to move you forward. Every session starts with a check-in: we can work on your therapy goals, switch to addressing a new challenge, or it can simply be a space to feel seen & heard.

Sessions are 50 minutes long. My rate is $160. There are no taxes or other fees associated with therapy. I do also offer sessions on evenings and weekends.
-
My office is at 55 Village Centre Place near Square One. I offer weekend sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
-
For the majority of my clients, they are usually trying therapy for the first time. As a result, I understand the internal struggles of starting therapy and aim to go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
-
I think there are many great therapists out there who approach the process of therapy in different ways. My approach focuses on working with my clients using relevant therapeutic modalities while also providing a space that feels safe, non-judgemental and relatable. Whether it’s in therapy or in my personal life, I find people often see me as someone that they feel very comfortable with.
-
This is entirely up to you. Many of my clients will have sessions weekly or bi-weekly but that’s not an expectation on my end. You are welcome to book sessions at a pace and frequency that makes sense for your life.
-
I always aim to create a space where my clients can have open and honest dialogue with me. If therapy isn’t working for you, I encourage you to share so we can figure out what we need to do differently to achieve your therapeutic goals. I’m also proactive on referring clients to other therapists when I feel they may benefit from a different approach.
