Therapy for South Asian Women in their 20s & 30s

A virtual and in-person therapy space for South Asian women across Ontario to feel seen & heard.

Hi, I’m Nikki and I’m so glad you’ve landed here.

Finding a therapist who truly understands your journey can be difficult. Through my own experiences I realized how hard it was to find a South Asian therapist who understood the tension between Eastern expectations and Western culture, while also creating a space that felt judgement-free.

This is why I started Mosaic Minds Therapy and Counselling.

I feel incredibly lucky to support South Asian women in a space that feels safe and relatable. It is a privilege to be the person that my clients share their full experiences with.

What You Can Expect in Therapy with Me:

When you book a session with me, my focus goes beyond just applying the most effective therapeutic modalities for your growth.

Making Sense of Your Life Experiences

Together we’ll work on processing your unique journey and connecting the dots on both your past & present so you can build a more grounded and intentional future.

A Supportive and Judgement-Free Space

Opening up can feel intimidating if you aren't used to it. I aim to provide a safe, judgment-free space where my client can share their story at a pace that feels right for them.

Leveraging My Experience for Your Growth

Using approaches I’ve found success with for many of my clients, we’ll work together to reach your therapy goals in a way that feels comfortable for you.

More About Me

My Education & Experience:
After graduating from York University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology), I went on to work at a local non-profit in Mississauga where I supported immigrant families and individuals.

It was this work experience combined with my own personal experience navigating the complexities of growing up in a South Asian household that ultimately inspired me to pursue a Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto and in-turn work more directly with supporting South Asian women through their mental health journey.

About Me Outside of Therapy:
Life can get pretty hectic these days for my husband and I with regularly having to chase after our son and keep him out of trouble.

In moments where I do get some downtime, some of the hobbies I enjoy pursuing are gardening, painting and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. I also love spending time outdoors, so regardless of the season, walks around the neighbourhood or the local trail are a regular routine in our household.

“Therapy is not a sign of weakness; it’s proof that you believe your story deserves more.”
